Daniel was using Tenkara USA's ITO rod, about 15ft of level line 3.5, 4ft of tippet and the Ishigaki Kebari (a simple tenkara fly). There was another fish rising about 10ft below where this fish was taken, so Daniel tried to keep the fish from going downstream in order to catch the rising fish later.
