Tapered Tenkara Lines (furled)
Tenkara USA's furled tapered tenkara lines cast easily and with precision, cut through wind, and do not snarl when freed from a snag. These are the easiest lines to cast among our offerings.
Tapered tenkara lines come with a transition loop on the thicker end, which will be girth-hitched to the tip of the tenkara rod. For your convenience, a tippet ring has been added to the end of the line. Tenkara USA lines are hand-woven by expert line-makers in the United States.
Our Tenkara furled line was developed to cast and fish in perfect balance with tenkara rods. We believe we achieved the perfect furled tenkara line with this one.

Made in the USA
After I had a line snap from an *cough* unnamed other brand, I purchased one of these lines....and then a few more. These are fantastic and the quality is top notch. Plus MUSA!
Tenkara USA's furled tapered line is my absolute favorite. My first season I solely fished with nylon, and after trying furled it's my favorite. In addition to my general preference of furled, I like that Tenkara USA's line is a more subtle color than others on the market. My husband has a bright orange line from another manufacturer and worries that the color scares the fishes; I certainly don't have this fear. If you haven't tried furled, grab this for your kit!
I had tried other lines when starting out and couldn't quite get my casting to the level I wanted to reach. I tried out the furled line to see what it was all about and it was a game changer. It is a very soft, easily maneuverable line with a good amount of weight to help with your casts. It's also the line that my wife prefers to use for how simple and easy it is.
I’ve fished these lines for several years now, and I can say that they are definitely one of the more durable furled lines out there. As long as you take care of them when removing them from the occasional snag, they will reward you with years of easy casting. I love pairing these lines with bigger Kebari and the occasional small bead-headed Western fly, but they toss dries with east as well. Great lines for beginners just starting out.
The TenkaraUSA Furled Tapered Line is a must have. This line delivers flies with delicacy and natural feel that is hard to beat. I switched from a tapered nylon line and haven’t looked back!
