Still getting used to the set up but like the concept. Like the easy portability.
I didn't know what I would need to fish with my tenkara rod, so I bought the kit. Someone new to fly fishing would need the nippers and forceps. I was glad to have the kit's 13' orange tapered line because I didn't know about tenkara line options. The 5X tippet spool comes in handy, and I've added a 6X spool. I liked the idea of something to organize the line, and loved that the line spool also came with three tenkara flies. The small zippered mesh bag kept it all together, and fit in my wading pants pocket. It was, amazingly, all I needed to get started.
I take the kit with me. Its nippers and forceps are on zingers attached to my pack's shoulder straps. I have a few level lines I made in the kit now. I have additional flies in a thin flybox too, though I use just two. I attach the kit to a belt loop with a carabiner. It makes me grin when I think that I can fish for so long with so little.
It appears well made and I am anxious to give it a try.
