Tenkara Rod Cap
Great rod for hiking in to remote streams. Quick to set up and easy to cast.
The line is great took a little getting used to as it has memory but with a gentle stretch and casting technique I caught fish.
Used the Rhode for the first time along Oak Creek Canyon, AZ. I was surprised how easy, accurate and adjustable this set up is. I am hooked!
The Hane is my first tenkara rod. I was a little worried about breaking the tip if I hooked on a sassy fish but I was willing to trust the equipment to get the job done. The first time I hooked a chunky rainbow trout I was a little slow setting the hook. I think a furled line is better than the nylon for the Hane. I've had some difficulty making smooth casts as the line doesn't seem to load smoothly and it retains a lot of memory. I've been using the kit for Euro nymphing with some success. Last weekend I landed my first rainbow after several casts through a pool. It was a great feeling fighting the fish and the rod held up great. I'm looking forward to more tight lines in the future.
I like the tenkara kit. It has everything I needed to get on the water. The nylon line was a little difficult to cast but after a few minutes I was able to figure out an effective technique. I like the line holder with the little compartment for a few flies and the little pouch makes carrying all the gear minus the rod a breeze especially when hiking to the fishing spot.
The replacement sections worked out on my Iwana rod. Easy install. Fast and tidy shipping.
