“The Hane is a really comfortable rod for fishing the waters that I frequent. Collapsed, it fits well in the cargo pockets of my hiking shorts; and extended, it casts extremely well to those fishy pockets within its reaches. I have caught upwards of 14 inch brown trouts with no issues. It is so much fun!”

“Two days fishing in mountain streams and really enjoying the tenkara method and the high quality rod. I particularly like how small the Hane compacts down to, fits easily in a small bag for hiking into interesting streams.”

“I wanted to try Tenkara ever since I learned about fly fishing. I got the Hane as a first, and now I don't even touch my traditional rod and reel. This rod is so easy to bring with me anywhere and just start fishing. I emailed Tenkara USA, and they gave me a custom military discount. Great customer service, and an even greater rod!”
I got the $160 rod today and went oit togive it a try. After a few casts and some small fish the rod tip broke off. I was excited about the rod and was very disappointed.

This was a gift
Since it was a gift I haven't used this rod. I was, however, somewhat disappointed with the kit that came with it. I was under the impression that I ordered a kit that had a tin of flies, a wooden line spool and a better pouch. What I received was a plastic thing that might be a line spool with a tiny compartment for flies and a small, pocket sized pouch and the line/leader packs and also zippers. The kit just wasn't what I thought I would receive and it kinda takes away from the gift I wanted to give
