So far, I fished in a small lake and it was snowing. I caught a large Rainbow trout!
It was on the first fly I picked from the kit. I’d like to learn more about the types of lines I can use with tenkara. The line that came with the kit had a strong memory of the coil it was stored with on the spool. Since I have only one good eye and even with that I need trifocal glasses, it is difficult to see the line, tippet, etc. Any recommendation on hi-vis lines/tippets? It was difficult to cast with the line provided since everything is so light. I’m sure it will get easier with practice. Bottom line (pun intended), The tenkara kit and rod seem to be high quality and I look forward to an increasing amount of Tenkara fishing.
Everything is profitable and needed.
I’ve only used spinners and baitcasters but I’ve always wanted to try fly fishing. Not wanting to spend that much I stumbled upon Tenkara fishing. I did my research and found that Tenkara USA fit my needs best and I really liked their views on fishing and life. I went ahead and got the Sato kit along with some extra different flies. We hiked up to Treasure lakes in search of Golden Trout and on the second cast I landed one! I continued to catch fish the whole time we were there. The Sato performed flawlessly even though I had barely had any idea on what I was doing, only watching videos before our trip. If you’re interested in a different way of catching fish I strongly suggest going over to Tenkara USA and getting yourself a kit.
My husband and I accidentally purchased two and the process to return is not correct on your website and is unnecessarily complex including emailing the team ahead of time and submitting a packing slip with the order number. Even after following through on all steps it was returned to me and now I am outside the 30 day window.
The rod is very light
