Tapered Tenkara Lines (Nylon)
The tapered nylon tenkara line casts incredibly easily, has the highest visibility of any of our lines, and does a good job at staying off the water rather than sagging under the rod. It will be a staple in many tenkara anglers' kits, and is our new main recommendation for anyone getting started.
The tapered nylon line features a loop to girth-hitch to the rod tip, simplifying that connection. This line is available in two different lengths, 11'6" or 14'9". While the line can be cut, it is recommended to be fished at the designed lengths.
The tapered nylon line is our most buoyant option, and may be the best choice for anglers whose situation or fishing style dictate some line be left on the water.
11'6" (3.5m) for the rods under 13ft in length and fishing small and mid-size streams. 1% of the sale price of this line will go directly to conservation efforts 14'9" (4.5m) for rods over 13ft, for fishing mid and large size streams, rivers and lakes and more open waters, and for anglers who desire a longer line even with shorter rods.

Great lines. Easy to cast.
I am very pleased with how easy this line ins to cast and keep off the water. It is very versatile and I have cut a few of them for my shorter rods. In general they are perfect out of the box. put a knot on the end, add some tippet and fly and go. Keep blending innovation and tradition folks.
I was very impressed with this line. I typically only stick with level line but this line will be a new regular in my outfit. The tapering makes it very easy to turn over and get those "fly-first" presentations. You need to at least try this line if you haven't tried a nylon line. Superb quality and it is very easy to see!
I've only used my trusty Hanes with Tenkara USA tapered nylon lines and I see no reason to switch as they work great.
My only suggestion would be to make a different colors (even if only slightly different) for the two lengths, so I could quickly differentiate the original length of previously deployed lines.
Strong, easy to use line that reacts predictably well to casts, so you can be confident that your fly will land where you expect it to. I have a couple in my bag, so I can have a couple setups ready to go, so I can quickly switch from a floater to a nymph as I travel down a stream into new pools or rapids.
