    Description:
Tenkara USA's furled tapered tenkara lines cast easily and with precision, cut through wind, and do not snarl when freed from a snag. These are the easiest lines to cast among our offerings.

Tapered tenkara lines come with a transition loop on the thicker end, which will be girth-hitched to the tip of the tenkara rod. For your convenience, a tippet ring has been added to the end of the line. Tenkara USA lines are hand-woven by expert line-makers in the United States.

Our Tenkara furled line was developed to cast and fish in perfect balance with tenkara rods. We believe we achieved the perfect furled tenkara line with this one.

    Length:  9ft, 10ft. 6in or 13ft. or 15ft.
Transition loop: Soft Spectra braid, 80lbs

I like using my tenkara gear to catch: Medium size fish (12-16" / 30-40cm), Larger size fish (16-20" / 40-50cm), Trout
I like using my tenkara rod in: Very small streams, Larger streams or rivers
south branch of the Raritan, Bitterroot, Snake, etc

I love swinging streamers or euronymphing with my Hane. It’s so easy to carry that this rod is always an option no matter the fishing situation. I always have it in my sling pack at the ready! The furled line is easy to cast. I lengthen the tippet based on water depth.

I fish in small to mid size streams in fall

The 9 1/2’ furled line with 6 pound leader, 1/32 ounce jig works great for smallmouth this time of year.

I like using my tenkara rod in: Stillwater
    modest ponds with vegetation.

Although not designed specifically to support how I often fish in eastern coastal NC, Ito is my is my favorite Tenkara rod for modest bass & panfish using small surface poppers & tiny bead head mop flies. Of course I could use conventional fly rod/reel tackle but believe I’m more successful limiting my focus to shorter distances where I can better anticipate and watch strikes by smaller fish.
