Carried this rod on an AT thru hike this year, the light weight of the setup made it a tempting luxury. The rod rode in its soft sleeve on the outside of my bag for over 2,000 miles, not a safe place for it and it received only a few cosmetic damages over the whole trip. Was able to pick out trout of small creeks and the setup was unintrusive and easy to carry.

This rod will alway be in my backpack. The day it came in the mail, I went to a nearby creek just off the delta. Rigged with tapered line and a small kebari, I had a bass hooked after just a few casts. So simple and so fun.
