Tenkara USA was very good
About replacing my broken rod tip. It shipped on time and I was back out on the water catching trout in less than a week.
I have gone minimalist over the past several years, fishing smaller and more remote streams, the Sato rod fits perfectly.
I have had trouble with line management but am getting better with it.
Solid quality rods make backpacking trips more enjoyable & productive, sometimes fish is my only food source for 50 miles of hiking.
This is my favorite t shirt. I think they will make a nice gift….
Great help, easy to replace the broken part. Thanks for your help!
I have three Tankara rods, the latest being the Rhodo. I wanted something shorter for the tight fishing on the small mountain streams and beaver ponds and the Rhodo fits the bill perfectly! It helps when fishing the narrow water and hard to get to places. Caught a brown about two hours after the rod arrived at the house!
Nothing but the best service with this company from my first purchase til the most recent. Customer service has been top notch. The gear itself, is rugged and light. Plus, it’s a ton of fun to fish with. Absolutely love everything TenkaraUSA is about!
I'm really excited to be able to peacefully and maybe artfully? fish with a fly rod, but without the extra gear, hassle, and inefficient line management considerations. The Rhodo is a great solution for exploring and fishing small Eastern streams and the casting and fly presentation worked so intuitively. I had fish chasing the fly on my first cast and caught two easily. I also appreciate the barbless hooks for humane catch and environmental consideration. I would appreciate information about the environmental impact and sustainability of materials used in the flies and leaders - I may have overlooked it if it currently exists. I had fun trying bow-and-arrow style casting to keep control and avoid tree branches. I'm looking forward to experimenting with line and leader length to make that even better.
Great build quality, action, and handling! You. Must. Get. This. Rod.
Furled line is the way to go! It's not as prone to tangling. It's easy to work with, easy to attach to lillian, and easy to cast, especially in windy situations. My casts rolls out much nicer on the tapered line. I bought a second set of this line from TenkaraUSA. Very happy.
I've had great luck with these fishing Cutthroat Trout. Very easy to get appealing presentation on the small mountain streams I fish.
I have not fished with a Tenkara rod yet. Looking forward to my first attempt at Tenkara.
