    Description:
    The
Takayama Sakasa Kebari is the tenkara fly that completes our set of 4 flies. Offered in size 16, it's our smallest tenkara fly.

Unlike in Western fly fishing, where a lot of people believe a super small fly is necessary, tenkara anglers hardly ever go any smaller than a size 16 for their fly. The size 16 fly will be handy for those days when a fish is rising to the fly but not taking it, or in waters with a little more pressure and pickier fish

    Size 16. 3 Flies.

I like using my tenkara gear to catch: Smaller size fish (say 8-12" / 20-30cm), Medium size fish (12-16" / 30-40cm), Trout
I like using my tenkara rod in: Very small streams, Mountain streams
    Small mountain streams/creeks

I've had great luck with these fishing Cutthroat Trout. Very easy to get appealing presentation on the small mountain streams I fish.

I loved these flies, they worked well for smaller brown trout and creek chubs in my area in PA. Some times I would be using a bigger fly in a spot and then when I switched to this smaller fly I would get more strikes. It’s definitely wise to have some smaller kebari’s in your fly box for those fish that reject your bigger kebari’s.

    Great Fly

If I am not using the Ishikagi fly I am using this one. It never disappoints.

    Trout trickster

I live in Montana and enjoy using this style of fly to fish in smaller streams. The subtle action the fly has when slowly drifted is fantastic. Even a slow upstream "twitch" works well too. A must have fly pattern to have in the box.
