I own every version Tenkara USA rod. Bought my first 11’ Iwana back in 2019. Gave up FlyFishing and strictly fish Tenkara ever since. I bought the Ukiyo a few months ago and finally used it for the first time this past week on a 3 day trip. Tenkara USA hit it out of the park with this amazing rod! I had several other rods with me but fell so in love with this one all 3 days in all types of streams and rivers. It’s just shy of 10’ but it fished awesome with various lengths of Tenkara line and level line. This is my go to rod now. If you are on the fence, just buy it. It is so comfortable and the action is great. What a great little rod! Great job on this one!

I was actually sent the Hane instead of the ukiyo. I am taking it out on a camping trip tomorrow and Saturday so we will be able to test it out and see how it does as kind of an all around adventure rod. Everything looks great so far!

Mountains to Coast
Although i have not had the opportunity to give the Ukiyo rod any use yet, it is on par with build quality / fit & finish of my other rods, "Hane / Iwana", i must say i was uncertain & hesitant of learning of new grip.
Suprisingly a really "tactile" feel.
I am excited to be able to give it a workout soon.
