I like using my tenkara gear to catch: Medium size fish (12-16" / 30-40cm), Larger size fish (16-20" / 40-50cm), Trout
I like using my tenkara rod in: Mountain streams, Larger streams or rivers, Backpacking and remote waters
    Perfect starter kit

This kit is a great deal, it has everything you need to get started and fits nicely into the small mesh bag. The nippers and forceps are solid and I especially like the smaller size of the forceps. The 5X line is better quality than other (well-known) brands I've used. The line holder (the Keeper) is my favorite though; I didn't think I was going to like it initially but it's great way to keep your tapered line and tippet plus fly on the spool and be rigged up in no time. By the way, when ice collects on your tapered line in winter, the little rubber teeth on the spool help to strip it off; I'm sure it was not designed to do so but does come in handy! I bought a second spool to store a longer line and tippet for bigger waters. It takes a little practice to use it but once you do, you'll see why it's called "the keeper". The spool fits over the (collapsed) rod and sits snugly on the top of the handle, which allows you to move to the next fishing spot without the risk and hassle of getting tangled up. A rod and this kit is literally all you need to go fly fishing, it's been liberating to go ultra-light like this.

    Good starter kit

This kit was a great start into Tenkara fishing. It was nice to have a separate set of gear from my fly fishing gear. After a bit of use, I started to customize the setup quite a bit and the line spool really turned out to be a pain. I ended up with the a foam wheel plus a snap on line holder, which just works better for me a feels lighter. Otherwise, the nippers are great and the flies have been solid. I gave the forceps to a buddy as I prefer the mitten style forceps. The book is ok, a bit redundant to what is already available online.

    The perfect Kit

This kit is perfect. It has everything you need to start, to learn and to fish with your rod. The thing I liked most is the bag: perfect size and easy to fix in you belt for example. The price of the kit, if you think what you get, is very low. Maybe the lowest in the market compared to the quality. As usual, best tenkara brand!
