After 2 decades of using an improved clinch to tie my fly, and feeling that I was losing too many flies, I decided to give this knot a try. This was taught to me by Dr. Ishigaki. It works very well, is the same as tippet to level line, thus simplifies things a bit, and is simple to tie.This is the same knot as used for the tippet to level line (except that you go through the eye of the fly first and then complete the knot).
