So far I have only fished for panfish on my local lake.
I’ve fly-fished for 20 years, so Tenkara is a bit of an adjustment. But the videos explained the cast well. Panfish were a good way to practice! I love the portability of this rod - very short when collapsed. One possible improvement: it would be good if the provided tapered line had a loop at the tippet end, so the tippet could be attached to that loop, not requiring a splice knot. (I tied my own loop.)

The Hane rod is an exceptionally well built rod for a wide range of fish sizes. I have caught 3" creek chubb, 8" bluegill, and 16" largemouth bass (6 lbs). The rod is strong, sensitive, and responsive. Quality is top notch. It feels great in the hand, and it is a beautiful rod to look at.
